Dr Alex Sexton grew up on a sheep farm in rural South Australia and has always cared for animals. He graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2016 after his studies took him to Africa and England.

Dr Sexton worked as a GP veterinarian at a busy small animal teaching practice for six and a half years in Adelaide before moving to the United Kingdom for two and half years to extend his skillset and work as the Lead Veterinarian at a new clinic in Hyde Park, London in 2023 until December 2025.

He enjoys all aspects of small animal practice including surgery and dentistry. Outside of work, he enjoys running, travelling, and playing golf.

He is excited to be bringing his wide experience and passion for high-quality animal care to the role of Lead Veterinarian at Smith Street Vet Hospital in 2026.
